Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare SUV values using two different FDG (Fluorodeoxyglucose) radiopharmaceuticals in a Positron Emission Tomography device. Method: In this thesis, FDG which was produced by two different companies was used. These products were added in equal amounts to the Water phantom on different days. After a homogenous distribution, PET-CT imaging was performed at the end of the planned hours. The image acquisition plan at the end of the 15th minute while taken a fixed CT parameters was arranged by changing the PET parameters to 1 minute, 1.5 minutes and 2 minutes. Subsequently, SUV values were measured. The same procedure was repeated at the end of the 1st hour and at the end of the second hour. For the SUV values obtained from the different products used, the effective parameters of the radiopharmaceutical product were also investigated according to PET SUV validation values. Results: In this study, SUV validation of PET-CT device was performed. The average SUV values obtained from the operation with F18 FDG were found to be between the standard range of 0,9 - 1,1. The values of SUV measurements obtained from the first, second, third and fourth day tests were found in the standard SUV range of SUV validation for PET, although there were percentage differences between the average and maximum SUV value of the F18 FDG obtained from IBA Cyclone KIUBE and Siemens Eclipse HP cyclotron. In the tests performed at the 15th minute, 1st hour and the 2nd hour end, the SUV values of the images obtained from PET bed time 1 minute, 1.5 minutes and 2 minutes were compared. The average SUV values of F18 FDG products were found to be in the average SUV value range of the proposed SUV validation for PET. Conclusion: In this study, it was observed that two different F18 FDG products gave the same results when the quality control procedures recommended by the PET-CT device manufacturer were applied. Based on the findings obtained in our study, it can be recommended that 15 minutes and 2 hours would not be suitable for patient waiting time but 1 hour waiting time would be suitable for both cyclotron product F18 FDG.
