Psikiyatri kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerin, iş doyumu ile fiziksel sağlık bakımına yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

This study was planned and carried out with the aim of examining the relationship between job satisfaction and attitudes towards physical health care of nurses working in psychiatric clinics. The population of the research consisted of 78 nurses working in the Psychiatry clinics of Istanbul Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, while the sample consisted of 65 nurses whose population was calculated using the known sampling method. The data of the study was collected by face-to-face survey method between 22.06.2023 and 01.08.2023, following the permission of the ethics committee and the institution. Personal Information Form, Physical Health Attitude Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were used to collect the data of the study. In evaluating the sociodemographic characteristics of individuals; frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, median, minimum and maximum evaluation, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, minimum and maximum evaluation in the evaluation of scale scores, statistical analyzes to evaluate normality situations, correlation tests to evaluate the relationship between the scores of the scales, and analysis of the reliability of the scales. Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was used. Variance analysis tests in comparison of scale scores according to sociodemographic characteristics (in normal distribution; in pairwise comparison; independent t test, One Way ANOVA test and post hoc tests in triple comparison; in pairwise comparison in non-normal distribution; Mann Whitney U test, in triple comparison; Kruskal Wallis test post hoc tests) and regression analysis were used if necessary. The significance level in differences and relationships was accepted as p<0.05. 67.7% (n=44) of the nurses participating in the study were between the ages of 24-27, 52.3% (n=34) were male, 70.8% (n=46) were single, 93.1% were single. (n=61) has undergraduate and graduate degrees. In the study, participants' FSTS (3.54±0.52) and MITS (2.85±0.82) scores were found to be close to the average level. A positive relationship was found between nurses' Physical Health Attitude Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale scores (p>0.05). A low level positive relationship was found between nurses' attitude scores towards participation in physical health care and their intrinsic job satisfaction scores (p<0.05). It is recommended to plan in-service training and encourage nurses to take initiatives that will increase their job satisfaction level and increase their skills and knowledge about physical health care.
