Abstract (EN)
In order to perform peri-implant bone loss treatment, it is of special importance to accurately identify, eliminate or modify many factors that play a role in the etiology of peri- implant diseases. While evaluating the condition of peri-implant tissues, radiographic parameters were also thought to be useful in determining risk factors, it was observed that there was no standard protocol regarding the etiology and treatment options of peri-implant diseases and it was aimed to examine the differences between clinical applications. For these purposes, the radiographs in the archive of all patients who underwent implant treatment between 01.01.2012 and 26.09.2019 at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry were retrospectively analyzed and radiographs containing implants on function were included in the study. For each implant on the radiograph, the demographic data of the patients such as age, gender and parameters of the implants and restorations were examined. In the multidisciplinary part of our study; patients whose complaints involving at least one implant site, the same implants were examined by dentists from 4 different disciplines, the difference in possible interdisciplinary approach regarding diagnosis, etiological factor, recommended treatment planning, predicted prognosis after this treatment, determination of risk status and recommended maintenance intervals were examined. While 50.68% of the 2125 implants included in our study are in the maxilla; 49.32% of them are in the mandible. It was observed that age (p=0.784) and gender (p=0.450) did not have a significant effect on RBL, but both implant type and implant supported prosthesis type were an effective factor for RBL (p<0.05). While the the dentition state of mesial adjacent region (p=0.027) and the opposite arc (p=0.024) of the implants were effective on RBL; this factor is not effective in the distal region (p=0.132). The presence of alveolar bone loss in both mesial (p=0.001), distal (p=0.001) and opposite arc (p=0.004) teeth has a significant effect on RBL. When measurement was made in both apical and cervical regions for fractal analysis findings, was not effective within the group (p=0.312) and between groups (p=0.736); The group in which the values are obtained (p=0.865) is also not effective. In the multidisciplinary approach, there are similar opinions among physicians in terms of diagnosis and prognosis; on the other hand, it has been observed that physicians can express different opinions in the direction of their professional experience of their departments in determining etiology, treatment planning, risk profile and maintenance intervals. As a result, physicians should consider the risk factors determined to be effective on peri-implant bone loss in our study on radiographic evaluation and use the multidisciplinary perspective in the clinical evaluation of implant treatment success.
