Abstract (EN)
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common cause of neurological disability in young adults worldwide. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of Ocrelizumab treatment on patients' quality of life, fatigue, anxiety, and depression in patients who were followed up with the diagnosis of Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) in the Neurology Outpatient Clinic of Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine. The study was designed retrospectively. 43 patients (26 females, 17 males) diagnosed with RRMS according to the 2017 revised Mcdonald criteria were included in the study. Multiple sclerosis quality of life 54 (MSQOL-54), Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), Beck anxiety inventory and Beck depression inventory scores were obtained retrospectively from the patient files, before Ocrelizumab treatment and 1 month after taking the 3rd dose of treatment. Age, gender, disability status, time since the diagnosis of the disease, and the last use of the disease-modifying agents were recorded in all patients included in the study. SPSS 22.0 Windows version package program was used to analyze the obtained data. P value<0.05 was considered significant. As a result; while ocrelizumab treatment did not have a statistically significant effect on the quality of life and anxiety in RRMS patients, it was observed that the patients included in th estudy caused an increase in fatigue and a decrease in depression.
