Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, we examine the relationship between global cooperation, the growth of renewable energy, and economic development in Morocco. and we made a comparative study with other MENA (Middle-East and North-Africa) nations, particularly Morocco, Jordan, and Tunisia. This research investigates how Morocco's renewable energy (RE) sector, particularly in the areas of solar, wind, and hydropower energy has been impacted by international cooperation, including foreign investments, technical support, and policy frameworks. It evaluates how will affect economic growth from 2013 to 2022. Through an analysis of important indicators like GDP growth rates, RE capacity and foreign direct investment inflows the study highlights the critical role that international cooperation plays in advancing sustainable energy goals and economic advancement. Additionally, based on the result of the comparative study, Morocco has made the greatest advancements in RE and economic development compared to Jordan and Tunisia due to effective international cooperation. The Wavelet analysis shows the existence of a positive correlation between GDP growth, total energy supply, and total RE supply in these nations. The results indicate a positive relationship between strong international collaboration, increased RE capacity, and improved economic performance, highlighting the significance of strategic alliances and investments in promoting sustainable development in the MENA region.
