Apoptotic effects of resveratrol and epigallocatechin combination at rat c6 glioma cells

In this study, the effects were investigated on C6 glioma cell family of rats when resveratrol and epigallocatechin-3-gallate which are natural polyphenolic composites were used together and seperately. In the culture environment the effects of two composites were evaluated from the point of cell apoptosis and cell proliferation view in the 24, 48, and 72th hours. Depends on control group the Resveratrol shows the increaser effect on cell apoptosis and it shows the detractive effect on cell proliferation. Constructional changings were analyzed and photographed under phase contrast microscope. In the cell culture the observations were epigallocatechin-3-gallate shows the increaser effect on cell apoptosis and also it shows the detractive effect on the cell proliferation. Constructional changings were watched and photographed under phase contrast microscope.In the combination groups, the findings from the cell culture were similar with the findings which were obtained by seperate applications of Resveratrol and epigallocatechin-3-gallate but cell culture findins were stronger. All of the combination groups showed the increaser effect on cell apoptosis and showed the inhibitor effect on cell proliferation.As a result, when the effects of resveratrol and epigallocatechin-3-gallate combination were investigated on C6 glioma cell family of rats then the incentive effect on cell apoptosis and the inhibitor effect on cell proliferation were observed.
