Abstract (EN)

The adoption of a customer-oriented approach in the provision of health services and the importance of total quality management efforts in health are becoming inevitable as global competition accelerates. One of the most important elements of ensuring the contribution of all employees to their jobs is to have a good understanding of Total Quality Management in establishing the quality of human, business, goods and services used to fulfill the demands of the user. All the employees' opinions and expectations are taken into consideration in all stages of a management approach, and all employees are included in the quality. The main purpose of TQM is; focusing on the needs and expectations of the market and catching a certain quality standard with the support of health workers. In order for TQM to achieve these goals, it depends on the willingness of the participants to take part in quality improvement studies from the manager to their subordinates. It is seen that both the private initiative and the works carried out by the government in order to improve the total quality management in the health sector have been differentiated and developed for the satisfaction of the health workers, which constitute an important part of the health sector every day. Hospitals, if they want to be at the highest level of quality and efficiency should be in an effort to continuously improve. This can be achieved by improving the satisfaction of the best health workers, improving the quality factors and identifying those that will be urgently improved by the efforts to improve the quality. One of the important points to be made here is to underline the degree to which the employees can perform. The more enthusiastic the health care workers are doing and how well their expectations are, the better their performance in their work will increase. This can only be solved by taking the necessary measures in accordance with the quality standards and by taking the necessary measures to determine the complaints or complaints. The purpose of this study is; The aim of this course is to understand the level and attitudes of health workers in Tarsus State Hospital firstly to TQM, and to determine the factors that will affect the satisfaction of the personnel working in different units. Within the scope of the study, 150 personnel working in Mersin Tarsus State Hospital were requested to be applied, but eight people could not be reached. Therefore, the study was completed by applying to 142 people. In this study, the survey technique was used and the questionnaires were applied to the participants face-to-face. The first part consists of 7 questions with demographic characteristics. The age, gender, marital status, education, the duty undertaken in the institution, the number of years of service and the working status were questioned. The second part consists of 27 questions related to Total Quality Management. These are mostly composed of the questions that include the expectations of the health workers and their expectations about quality. The findings were interpreted according to the research purpose.
