Abstract (EN)

Seljuks has an important milestone in the Turkish History. The Seljuks, who came to Anatolia after tha Battle of Manzikert, had socialized with the local people of Anatolia and contacted trading and social retionships with them. This situation eventually had caused the Anatolia being Turkish and Muslim.The Seljuks Turks had transferred the Turkish-İslamic cultere to Asia by accepting İslam. Their clothing and dress styles and social lives had been taken from accordance with the İslamic principles. Especially, the place of women in society had became strong and their importence in the social life had appeared in real terms.The Seljuks had carried their social activities aon in Asia-Minor. These social activities had strengthened the cooperation and unity between the Seljuk Turks. The Seljuks, who kept celebrating the national and religious festivals, had not neglected to organizations. The food and eating colture of the Seljuks had develped by taking a new form accordance with the İslamic principles.The Seljuks, who are like a bridge between the past and the present, have provided continuity of Turkish culture and contributed the protectin of the existence of Turkish culture.
