Abstract (EN)

Space is where people are located. These places are sometimes home, home, etc. turns into Due to the need to be located in the place where people live, they search for a place. For this reason, an interaction is established between human and space. The person's positive or negative relationship with the place causes him to attribute different meanings to it. In this context, wide and narrow spaces In this study, in which Sevinç Çokum's novels will be examined according to the space-human relationship, it is aimed to try to understand the human perception of space and the image behind the space, the main element in the novels. The first part of the study, which is basically organized in three main sections, consists of the author's life and works. In the second part, a total of fifteen novels of Çokum were analyzed. The novels of the author, who puts people in the center, have been interpreted in this context. The events in his novels took place in various places from Anatolia to the Crimea, especially in Istanbul. In the events, people's clinging to spaces adorned with their self-values and their struggle for existence are told. In the conclusion part, the conclusions reached based on his novels are mentioned.
