Şevkî and divan [Meview-text]

Poets and their divans have great importance in Turkish literature. Although there are many poets and their divans identified today, there are still works waiting to be unearthed. In this study, the work in Ankara National Library 06 Mil Yz A 2618 was examined and it was aimed to determine the place of the poet with the pseudonym Şevkî in Turkish literature. In our study; research, examination and criticism methods were applied. Our work consists of 4 parts: The first part is Şevkî's life and literary personality, the Second part is the form and content analysis of the Divan, the Third part is the analysis of the Divan (Religion-Mysticism, Society and Social Life, Human, Nature), the Fourth part is the description of the copy, it consist of the method used when examining the text and the critical text of the Divan. There is no significant information about the life of the poet with the pseudonym Şevkî, whose work we have examined, neither in the sources nor in his own work. However, based on the tahmis he wrote to Fuzûlî, it is estimated that he lived in the same period as Fuzuli or in a later period. Şevkî's Divan consists of 55 leaves. The poems in the Divan show the characteristics of both Azerbaijani Turkish, Chagatay Turkish and Ottoman Turkish. In addition, Şevkî's Divan has differences in terms of verse forms. In addition to the verse forms used in classical poetry, bayati and gerayli, which are verse forms used in Azerbaijani folk poetry, were also used in the Divan. Divan is remarkable in this aspect. In Şevkî's Divan, 40 rubaî, 38 bayatı, 32 gazel, 31 muhammes, 16 gerayli, 12 tahmis, 5 masnavi, 4 murabba, 2 kaside, 2 compound-bent, 2 eleven musammat, 2 twelve musammat, 1 müseddes, 1 mutssa, 1 terci-bent and 1 stanza, there are a total of 188 poems.
