Abstract (EN)
Sheikh Muhammed Arapkendî, who lived in the village of Arapkend in Bismil, was a scholar of the Hâlidîye branch of the Naqshbandi sect. Arapkendi, who reached the Prophet through blood tie of Hz. Hussein, was occupied with Sheikh Kemal Hamidî on the road to mysticism, and after the death of his mentor, he was occupied with Sheikh Masum, son of Seikh Ahmed Haznevi. He wore a caliph's robe by Sheikh Masum's giving him the caliphate. After getting caliphate, Arapkendi turned to his hometown and was occupied with enlightenment and act of showing the true path. He has continued his effect by educate students. In the first part of the study, his life, childhood, youth, marriage, education life, the mentors who Arapkendi took lessons from and his caliphes are examined. In the second part, some general informations are given about İslâmic mysticism, and some mystic views of Arapkendi such as responsibilities, communication, connection, hatm-i haccegân, zikir-evrâd, desire, the Earth, privacy, evi leye- politeness and love that a follower must have according to Arapkendi.
