Abstract (EN)

This thesis study analyses art history and art productions according to Baudrillard?s simulation theory. Study includes four parts. In the first part, the theory which the thesis is based on and its connection with art are analyzed. The importance, the people give to the images, signs and the power of the painting art existed from images are handled. In the thesis, the first paintings were accepted to be made according to the feeling of fear and asylum. The paintings could be thought that they are not only paintings but also simulations of feelings or ogjects.In the second part, the new realities created by paintings were examined between Gothic and Baroc ages in Europe in which fear and belief simulations were made.Third part includes Europe in modernism and European paintings from Empresionism to Abstract paintings. Changing ideas with modernism, life conditions and paintings? effects which reflect these as a simulation were searched.As a last part, in the forth part, 21?th century?s simulations which are made the paintings, photography, cinema and mass media were searched.
