Abstract (EN)

It is possible to say that class management is a significant variable in the execution of education activities and achieving the aims. One of the stakeholders of this variable is the child. After the family environment, to achieve the basic objectives of the education system, to recognize social and social responsibility and their role, the child become a stakeholder of a new system. This new system is usually a school, especially a classroom. The child continues his/her life with the awareness of his/her fundamental rights, provided that this new system of which he/she is a part is carried out efficiently and healthily. For this reason, the school and classroom environment is seen as an important step in the child's awareness of the rights he/she has gained because he/she is a child. In this study, it is aimed to examine the classroom teachers' consideration of children's rights in the activities and exercises planned in the classroom management process. The data of the research, which was carried out with the basic qualitative research design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was obtained from the interviews made with 17 classroom teachers who were working in public schools in Malatya in the 2021-2022 academic year and were selected by purposive sampling method. A semi-structured interview form created by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the research. The collected data were subjected to descriptive analysis and analyzed and interpreted. It is one of the results that the teachers consider child rights in their attitudes and practices in all dimensions of classroom management, but in some cases where rights are not included, and in some cases, the principle of participation is violated while considering the principle of the child's best interests. Based on the results, giving in-service training to classroom teachers in order to increase the level of knowledge and awareness about children's rights is among the research recommendations. It is among the suggestions for future research that a similar research can be carried out with branch teachers at other levels.
