Abstract (EN)

Privacy is the most basic phenomenon that human beings have had since the creation of the first human Hz Adam and Hz Eve. Due to the changes experienced by civilizations and cultures throughout history, a single definition of the concept of privacy could not be made. The internet, which was used in our country as recently as 1993, has established a brand new virtual world for people. People or institutions that exist in real life are trying to exist in the virtual world as well. This technology, which causes revolutionary changes in the life of the individual and its current return, social media, which shapes human life; while norms such as justice, freedom, privacy or transparency were the subject, the concept of privacy was also a subject of discussion. People who mostly use social media sites in Turkey as well as all over the world; they are young people. So, what is the perception of privacy that young people have? In this case, are the attitudes of the parents effective? And what kind of contributions can the field of spiritual counseling and guidance offer in solving all these problems? This thesis, which includes questions such as and more, was applied to a sample group of 1386 people consisting of secondary school students and their parents, and the results were analyzed and interpreted.
