Abstract (EN)
Objective: This research was carried out on the self-esteem of the stress occurring during the pregnant day in Viranşehir, Şanlıurfa. Materials and Methods: The population of the descriptive and cross-sectional study (August-October 2020) consisted of pregnant women who applied to Şanlıurfa Viranşehir State Hospital. The sample consisted of pregnant women (n=176) who were over the age of 18, completed the 17th week of pregnancy, did not receive any treatment for pregnancy, had no risk during pregnancy, agreed to participate in the study, and had the capacity to read and understand Turkish. The data are "Pregnant Descriptive Information Sheet", "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RBS)", "Pregnancy Stress Assessment (PSRS)" from suspicion to death to doubt-face to face. In the analysis of data, number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test, one-way Anova test, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis tests were used. The error level was taken as 0.05. Results: In pregnant women, the mean PSRS score was 67.131±28.17, and the mean RBS score was 2.568±1.78. It was found that 19.3% of the pregnant women wanted to have information about the psychological mood changes during pregnancy, 17% about labor, 16.5% about baby care, 15.9% about family planning. It was determined that the differences in PSRS mean scores according to the pregnant women's age, education level, marriage age, gestational week, baby's gender and number of births were statistically significant (p<0.05). It was determined that the differences in RBS Scale mean scores were statistically significant according to the age of the pregnant women, education level, gestational week of the pregnant, and going to regular check-ups (p<0.05). According to the cause-effect relationship between pregnancy stress total score and self-esteem; pregnancy stress increases the total self-esteem score, in other words, it decreases the self-esteem level (ß=0.012). A significant r=0.189 positive (p=0.012) correlation was found between self-esteem and total pregnancy stress (p<0.05). Conclusion: It has been determined that the stress level in pregnant women is above the moderate level. It was concluded that low and moderate self-esteem of pregnant women increased pregnancy stress. Keywords: Pregnancy, Stress, Self-Esteem, Midwifery
