Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the level of impostor syndrome of sports club managers. Questionnaire method was used to collect the research data. 211 participants participated in the research. However, since the number of female participants was 7 and they disrupted the normal distribution in the normality tests, they were excluded from the data and only the data of 204 male participants were used. The first part of the questionnaire, which consists of two parts, included a "personal information form (gender, age, education level, total working time in management and position in the club)" to obtain demographic information of the participants. In the second part of the questionnaire, "Impostor Profile Scale-31 (IPP31)" was used. The Impostor Profile Scale (IPP31) developed by Ibrahim, Münscher and Herzberg (2020) is a multidimensional scale consisting of 31 items theoretically constructed from six different scales to be applied in practice. The questionnaire was presented to the participants as Google form or written material according to their participation requests. The analysis of the data obtained in the research was carried out with the SPSS 25.0 statistical program. In line with the findings obtained from the participants, arithmetic averages, standard deviations and standard errors, minimum and maximum values of the answers given were calculated. The data to be obtained from the questionnaire applications to be applied in the research were evaluated at 95% confidence interval and 0.05 significance level, and the significance level was determined by applying the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Kurtosis and skewness values were taken into consideration in the evaluation of whether the data showed normal distribution or not, and it was concluded that the normality assumption was met since it was found in the range of -1.5 and +1.5. In the evaluation of the variables, One-Way Analysis of Variance (Anova) was applied, and Bonferonni post-hoc test was applied to determine the source of the difference in the results showing a significant difference. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was no significant difference between the groups according to impostor syndrome and gender, education level, total working time in management and position in the club. However, according to the results of the Anova analysis conducted on the answers given according to the age variable, it was seen that there was a significant difference (.000; p<0.05). According to the result of the Bonferonni test conducted to find out where the difference originated from, it was seen that those who were 25 years old and below experienced Impostor syndrome more than those in other categories.
