Özet (EN)

This thesis study has been prepared based on the fact that performance analyzes should be taken into account in the investigation of steel carrier elements and fasteners in reinforced concrete and steel sports halls built in Turkey, where there are active fault lines and active seismic belts. The first part of the master's thesis, which consists of four parts, was arranged as the introduction, and in this part, the explanations, studies and the purpose and scope of the studies were explained. In the second part, the construction features of the sports halls built in Turkey are explained and general information about various sports halls is given. In the third chapter, performance-based design and evaluation are given in detail. In this section, topics related to collecting information about buildings, damage limits of building structural system elements and determining building earthquake performance levels are given in accordance with the Turkish Building Earthquake Code (TBEC 2018). In the performance determination phase, earthquake movements and performance targets were specified, and the analysis methods used were explained. In the fourth chapter, the current situations of both gyms are discussed and numerical analysis is made. If the structure, which has a reinforced concrete carrier system and whose roof consists of steel truss system trusses, designed with the help of the SAP 2000 program using the information of the sports halls, the truss elements on the roof are composed of moment-transmitting (rigid), non-moment-transmitting (articulated) and 30% moment-transmitting elements. The changes in the displacement values of the diagonal points were examined, the earthquake performance of the steel sports hall was examined using the incremental earthquake load and thrust analysis method, which is one of the nonlinear inelastic calculation methods, and the crushing calculations of the connection points of the cross members were made. In the conclusion part, the results of the calculations were evaluated, and it was seen that the system that most affected the peak displacement was the rigid joint, and the system that affected the least was the system that was determined as articulated struts and diagonals. In the second numerical application, it was observed that there were crushing in the bolt holes of the cross members, and it was concluded that such structures should be designed according to deformation.
