This research was carried out to determine the effects of sports activities,strength training of bone mineral density (BMD) and body composition (BC) amongamateur sportsmen who play football, normal sportsmen who play football andindividuals who do not do sports.Sports do not make the survey (n = 10), exercising (n = 10),amateur sportsmen engaged in strength training (n = 10), mean age, 0.92 years ±21:20, 20:50 ± 0.71 years, 21.30 ± 0.82 years, average height, 177.10 ± 1.79 cm,176.60 ± 7:32 cm, 178.20 ± 5.33 cm and the mean body weight, 65.89 ± 2.97 kg,69.60 ± 9:47 kg, 69.70 ± 5.31kg, which is a total of 30 male individuals wereincluded.Anthropometric measurements ( height, weight, etc.) were made withminimal clothing and a standard Seca Stadiometer device. BMD measurements weremade with bone densitometry equipment (DXA, Hologic Discovery QDR 4500A,and The USA). Body composition forming and accepted as sub-parameters BodyMass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Percentage of Body Fat (% PBF),Mass of Body Fat (MBF), Lean Body Mass (LBM), Bone Mineral Density (BMD)was measured using Bio-electric Impedance Analyzer (BIA, Tanita BC 418) tool.Fed the standard diet in terms of individuals included in the survey wasassumed to be similar to the food. Affect bone mineral density was not included inthe study of any disease.XVSPSS for Windows 15.0 Program was used in the analysis. The normaldistribution assumption was tested with the Shapiro Wilk test.Normally distributed data, parametric tests, non-normally distributed data, thenon-parametric tests were performed. The same groups, the Wilcoxon test was usedto compare nonparametric values before and after the training. In the comparison ofthree or more groups, data was not normally distributed the Kruskal-Wallis test wasused. Data are mean ± standard deviation (mean ± SD) and percentages (%) assummarized. value of p<0.05 was considered statistically significant.When the groups were compared after training, with the dynamometric forcemeasurement results of the analysis of BMD difference between the groups werestatistically significant (p <0.01). Difference was not observed between the bodycomposition of three groups (p> 0.05).The data obtained from the light, sports, non-validating individuals involvedin sports with the dynamometric force measurement parameters and parameters ofbone mineral density compared to their levels of significance was observed that thepositive effect of sports activities and strength workout.Key Word: Strength Training, Bone Mineral Density, Body Composition,Sportsman
