Explaining the intended use of some plant species thatgrow naturally in sirnak and have marketing importance

Şırnak region has an extremely rich flora in terms of plant species growing in nature due to its different geographical and climatic characteristics. Even though the plant species grown in Şırnak province have been used for different purposes by the people of the region for many years, it is important to identify these plants scientifically, to reveal their current situation in terms of their usage purposes, marketing, contribution to the regional economy and ecotourism. This study was carried out in order to identify plant species, located in the natural flora of the Şırnak region, used by the people of the region for many years for different purposes, known by its regional names, to determine their consumption and use for health purposes, to know the market conditions and to evaluate their potential in terms of ecotourism, and to reveal their contribution to the regional economy. The research data were collected in two stages as structured/semi-structured interview and field study. At different periods, the plants in the flora of the region were identified by observing, photographing and taking plant samples on the basis of species. In addition, information about the local names of the plant and what it is used for were obtained through face-to-face interviews with the people of the region. Later, the local names of the plants and their scientific names were combined and supported by national and international literature. In the fieldwork and face-to-face interviews conducted in the Şırnak region, thirty-one species that are used for different purposes and have economic value have been identified, and the potentials of these species in terms of widely known and used marketing, regional economy and eco-tourism have been revealed. Thus, it is thought that an important awareness will be created in terms of eco tourism, together with the recognition and widespread effect of these species in the country and abroad. However, it should be noted that with the spread of eco-tourism activities in the region, the Şırnak region will take an important place in the economy of the region and the country. In addition, knowing that the plant species that grow naturally in the region can be used as human food (food, etc.), food will be provided at lower costs. Similarly, it should be noted that some species that are important for health will contribute to the health sector by knowing the use of these plants as medicine.
