Özet (EN)

Women of reproductive age often suffer from thyroid conditions and autoimmune diseases of the thyroid gland, which are linked to adverse pregnancy outcomes such as miscarriage and premature birth. The most common cause of thyroid problems is autoimmune thyroid disease (TD). Thyroid autoimmunity is defined by the presence of thyroid antibodies (ATA), specifically thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO-Ab) and thyroglobulin antibodies (TG-Ab) (TAI). Women who test positive for thyroid antibodies tend to experience more frequent miscarriages in the first trimester of pregnancy. The aim of the study was to determine how thyroid disorders affect pregnant women who experienced recurrent miscarriage and to evaluate how thyroid antibodies affect abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. Pregnant women who applied to the Women's and Children's Hospital in Ramadi were included in this study. 120 blood samples were taken from women with a history of miscarriage in the first trimester of pregnancy and were determined as the study group. The forty five blood samples were taken from healthy women who did not have a miscarriage in the first trimester of their pregnancy and were used as a control group. Both groups completed the questionnaire, but all women with metabolic morbidity, hypertension, and diabetes were excluded. After statistical evaluation and comparison, there was a significant increase (P 0.05) in the thyroid stimulating hormone concentration of the study group as well as non-significant increases in Serbs t3 and free T4 concentrations (P = 0.391 and P = 0.628, respectively). It has been discovered that pregnant women who are overweight (n=35) according to body mass index have higher mean miscarriage rates than normal weight pregnant women (85). This change was not statistically significant (P=0.524). Four age groups were examined in the study to determine the maximum abortion rate. Statistical analysis revealed a highly significant difference (p<0.001) in low levels between age groups (26 - 32 years) and other age groups (19 - 25, 33 - 40, 41 - 46). RT-PCR results were analyzed to detect expression of the micRNA146A gene and compared between control and patient groups. Comparative threshold cycle (CT) approach (2-Ct) was used to calculate relative changes in expression levels.
