Stress and stress management (Overcoming stress); An application on health sector

There are many problems that people encounter in their daily life and business life. The stress emerges as a result of these problems and it can influence the quality of life in a negative way. Changes, events, conflicts or developments can cause stress positively or negatively. Stress is a factor which effects a person physically, socially, psychologically and behavioral. People show different attitudes against stress. Stress called as a disease of the 21st century not only affects individuals, also affects organizations, too. There are many sources of stress which affects people and organizations in work environment. Individuals in the organizational context are exposed to many stress factors which are related to career development, relationships at work, organizational roles, organizational structure and climate and the job itself. Stress may cause serious problems for both organizations and employees when it is not well managed. For example, failing adapt to changing conditions would decrease the individual performance. To eliminate these conditions like in this example or at least to reduce effects of stress, managing stress is required. The aim of this study is to explain the term of stress, and to determine the methods of overcoming stress by establishing the source of stress in people, staff and health sector staff.
