Struggling crime in the context of crime and urbanization example of Tokat and Erbaa

The most notable duty of the state mechanism so as to ensure peace and trust in societies is the fight against crime and delinquency. Nowadays, within the context of current legal regulations, the units authorized and in charge of fighting crime are law enforcement officers. Although many theories and studies have been put forward within the scope of combating crime over the past decades, the multidimensional and dynamic nature of crime calls for updating these studies. At this point, municipalities, which are local government units, should be made an active subject in the effective fight against crime through legal regulations. With the urbanization acts that emerged after the Industrial Revolution, the tendency of individuals to settle in city centers has led to the emergence of environments suitable for crime due to the nature of collective living. Along with this increasing concentration in city centers, safe cities have been tried to be established in order to ensure effective public order. Curremntly, together with the increasing technological developments and social problems, the execution of crime is becomig much more intense and simple compare to the past, which has led the municipalities to support law enforcement units in this sense. In addition to the social services provided by the municipalities to the residents of the city, the law enforcement officers should also be backed up on the axis of combating crime in order to carry out the continuation of these social services and to establish permanent urban peace. In this study, there is solid explanation related to the municipalities of Tokat and Erbaa about the urbanization steps that should be carried out by drawing attention to the increasing crime rates in the regions. By examining the three steps that need to be taken in the effective fight against crime, first of all, the studies need to be carried out to determine the factors that cause crime and delinquency, the activities to be carried out against the facts to be determined, and finally the permanent measures that must be taken in order to prevent the crime from recurring
