Abstract (EN)
In this study, varieties of sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas L.) (Beniazuma and Koganesengan) belonging to the Convolvulaceae family and originated from Central America's tropical climate zone was used as the vegetative material. In the study, it was aimed to determine plant growth, yield and quality parameters of sweet potato plant under different irrigation regimes and to relate plant energy usage to hyperspectral measurements in water stress conditions. The land study was conducted in 2017 on the trial parcels where the precipitation effect was controlled. The irrigation scheduling was based on the principle of starting irrigation for all subjects when %40-45 of the usable water content is consumed in the 30 cm soil profile in the parcels for control during the experiment. In the study, 4 different irrigation regimes (S100, S75, S50 and S25) were discussed. In addition, different vegetation indices (Normalized Plant Index-NDVI, Band Ranging Index-VI, Plant Segregation Index-DVI and Water Index-WI) were calculated by using spectroradiometric measurements and vegetation cover reflection values at different wavelengths for sweet potato plant. With this study, many basic information about the irrigation of sweet potato plant has been introduced and reported for regions with similar characteristics both in our country and in the world.
