Abstract (EN)

This study includes the flora of the area around Sülüklügöl ( Mudurnu and Göynük - Akyazı) and has been carried out between 2009 and 2010. Sülüklügöl is located on Mudurnu River Valley in the Western Black Sea region of Anatolia . Research area through in a north-west to south-east direction and is somewhat quadrangular shape in between 200 and 1650 m elevation above the sea level. The research area covers about 6200 ha.The research area is in the A3 grid square by considering categorization of P.H.Davis. The study area is under the influences of Euro-Siberian and Mediterranean phytogeographic regions. Also, southern boundary of Sülüklügöl is range of the Irano-Turanain flora region, because of it has been to the transition area of steppe in western Black Sea Region of inner Anatolia.Landslides which have occurred on the river bed, formed Sülüklügöl and this area was declared as a nature conservation area in 1968. With these objectives, we expect to contribute to the Flora of Bolu and Adapazarı planned to be written in the future, and to determine the endemic species, new records for the A3 grid square.At the end of this study 79 families, 227 genera and 406 taxa are identified. Endemism is %9,36 and included 38 endemic taxa. The distribution of the taxa according to the phytogeographical regions was as follows: 107 taxa (26.35 %) Euro- Siberian, 36 taxa (8.62 %) Mediterranean, 20 taxa (4.93 %) Irano-Turanian. The rates of wide spreaded and phytogeographically unknown taxa are 244 ( 60.10 %). The plant life froms of Raunkiaer systems are 65 taxa (% 16.21 ) Phanerophytes, 54 taxa (% 13.47) Chamaephytes, 154 taxa (% 38.40) Hemicryptophytes, 49 taxa (% 12.22) Geophytes, 5 taxa (%1.25) Helophytes and 74 taxa (% 18.45) Therophytes. The collected specimens are housed in the DUOF Herbarium and NGBB Herbarium (Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanik Bahçesi).
