Abstract (EN)

Since the Turks' coming to Anatolia, Uşak has been centre of many tariqats. Some of them continue their activities today, while the others either have not any murids or have declined. In the study, firstly, a brief information about Uşak was given and then the tariqats existed in Uşak throughout the history were examined. In the historical process, as in many parts of Anatolia, the Ahi Brotherhood, Bektashiyya, Khalwatiyya, Khalwatiyya-Sha'baniyya, Rifaʽiyya, Qadiriyya, Naqshbendiyya and Uşakiyya tariq existed in Uşak. Among them, Qadiriyya, Naqshbandiyya and Ushshakiyya continue to exist both in the past and present despite the changes. Others have declined and they do not have any follower in time. In the research, the sufis who lived in Uşak and the traces left by them were contacted in order to reveal the sufi structure of the city. While most of these sufis belong to the tariqas mentioned above, some of them are "Khorasan Erens" whose tariqa is not clear. After the sufi history of Uşak was analysed, influence of tasawwuf on shaping individuals' religious life and its effects on their social life were handled. Thus, the influence of tariqas on the religious, social, cultural and educational life of society is considered on Uşak sample. Keywords: Uşak, tariqa, Ahis, Bektashiyya, Khalwatiyya, Qadiriyya, Naqshibandiyya, Rifaʽiyya, Ushshakiyya.
