Abstract (EN)

In this study, a total of 36 diameter-height (d-h) models were tested by using 309 sample area data taken from pure Stone pine (Pinus pinea L.) stands in Tarsus region. Stone pine stands were 932 ha in size and were planted since 1980 by planting. Sample area data were divided into two groups, the first group (80%) was used to develop the model and to test the models developed in the second group (20%). The performances of the diameter-height models of the first group (n = 3), the second group (n = 27) and the third group (n = 6) were compared with six different criteria values. The most successful results were obtained by Cox IIa, Cox IIIa and Richards. Similar results were obtained from the independent data set. By using the regression equations developed with this study, it is possible to estimate the diameter at breast height, the middle diameter of the basal area, the height of the basal area, the height of the basal area and the height of the single tree with the help of the middle height of the stand. Estimates from this model can be used for different forestry disciplines.
