Abstract (EN)

Tablighi Jamaat, one of the largest and most populous movements in the world, is an international religious movement founded in 1926 by Muhammad Ilyas al-Kândehlawi in India as a branch of the Diyobendi madrasa tradition and advocating taqwa at the individual level. The main philosophy of the Tablighi Jamaat is to renew faith and to carry on the work of the Tablighi Jamaat with a unique method, and it prefers to carry out a completely non-political work. There is no violence whatsoever in the work of the Tablighi Jamaat, which believes that it acts according to the method of notification bequeathed to its companions by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This congregation still continues its activities without changing its methods of notification. In our thesis, we have analysed the activities of this international movement in Afghanistan. Our thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter deals with the establishment and history of the Tabligh Jamaat, the second chapter deals with the methods, aims and principles of the Tabligh Jamaat, and the third chapter deals with the activities of the Tabligh Jamaat in Afghanistan.
