A research on the problems, solution suggestions and place of export operations i̇n supply chain management

Upon globalization, trade has begun to become active and to develop more and more in the global market. Countries and companies in countries wish to increase their economic wealth and they have started to enter the market in international trade. Companies entering the market in international trade have tried to manage their operation processes in trade without any problems in order to have a say in the market and to survive under the competition conditions. Firms that are economically strong in international trade tend to export more to increase their market activity and to have a margin within the market. Especially in the industry sector, companies are making more income by buying the raw materials of their products and offering it as a whole product to the market. It is not an easy process to produce a product out of raw materials, make it ready for export and then offer such product to the international market. There may be some problems in the process. For this reason, the firms that want to take part in the international market and want to make exports should follow the export process and should make correct analyzes and find solution alternatives for the setbacks to be encountered, as soon as possible. This study covers the role of the export operations in supply chain process management and the phases of the operation process. Also, the problems encountered in this process and the solution alternatives are emphasized. In this context, the problems the firms encounter during the operation process were determined, by means of the interview questions prepared for the firms that makes export in the Antalya Organizes Industrial Zone, and the solution suggestions were made at the end of the study.
