Our single-use plastic consumption amount is increasing rapidly every year. The fact that plastic is light, cheap and easy to shape can be seen among the reasons for this. Since plastics are obtained from fossil fuels, they do not disappear naturally. Even the first produced plastics continue to exist in the world. Plastics used; It reaches the salty waters with currents, sewers or winds, causing irreversible damage to the ecosystem here. Plastics are divided into two as macroplastics and microplastics. While macroplastics are the name given to plastics that we can see easily, microplastics are the name given to plastics that break down in water with the effect of waves, salt and sun rays. Plastics that turn into microplastics are consumed by sea creatures and their generations are endangered. In the documentary work, the statistics of consumed plastic, the destruction of plastic in the oceans and seas, and the effects of plastic on human health are emphasized. Unless people change their consumption habits, the world will continue to be polluted with plastic and many living things will face the danger of extinction. Consumption habits that need to be changed and solutions for plastic pollution are also presented in the documentary.
