Abstract (EN)
Television, which is the most preferred mass media, is also the type of media that most influences people through its various programs. Among these programs in Turkey, after the news, the most consumed genre is dramas or serials in folk language. The serials convey the messages they want to instill in the audience through the different elements they use in their content. The most effective of these elements are the characters that create a sense of identification in the audience. Along with the need for similarity brought about by the sense of identification, changes can be observed in the feelings, thoughts, behavior patterns and even ideological and cultural values of individuals. In this context, character analysis studies conducted with various methods in television research are of great importance. Psychological personality analysis is one of the most widely used methods in character analysis studies. Analytical Psychology theory developed by Carl Gustav Jung; makes it possible to examine the individual in more detail than the other theories used, according to their level of consciousness. The characters, all of which are reflected on the screen in detail, provide a better analysis opportunity. When it comes to details, books come to mind. Books that create the opportunity for the author to describe freely; gives the reader the details of many elements such as events, characters, places. The most faithful adaptations of works with such details can also be made in television series. In our country, in the last five years; The TV series adapted from the books by psychiatrist Gülseren Budayicioğlu, in which she fictionalizes the life stories of her clients, attract a lot of attention from the audience and are the subject of criticism from experts from various fields. Analysis of these characters, which constitute a social representation in the context of their adaptation from real people, has not been found in the literature. Within the limitations of the study, the characters of Zeynep, Safiye and Alya, which are handled with the content analysis method; depending on childhood traumas, they reflect the characteristics of their archetypes that should actually take place in the unconscious to their consciousness. These features that harm both the characters and their environment; as a result of the characters' successful completion of their individuation processes, they are accepted by the characters and transformed in a positive way. As a result of the research, together with the findings about the personalities and the elements that make up the personalities of the characters, information about the problems of women in our country and the causes of these problems were obtained in the context of the characters' social representation.
