Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in 2016 at Isparta Applied Sciences University, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Department of Field Crops. Total of 16 lines (22 progenies in F8 generation from Dinçer 5-18-1 × Centennial) and standard cultivars (Dinçer 5-18-1, Centennial, Remzibey-05, Balcı, Linas and Olas) were used as plant materials. The lines and standard cultivars were planted with three replications in March as the randomized blocks design. In the genotypes, agronomic characteristics such as; plant height, number of branches, number of heads, head diameter, number of seeds per head, 1000 seed weight and seed yield, and quality characteristics such as; hull content, oil content, oil yield and fatty acid composition were investigated. According to the results obtained; hull content, 1000 seed weight, seed yield, oil content and oil yield were varied between 43.1-50.4%, 31.2-43.9 g, 77.4-155.0 kg/da, 27.3-37.4% and 23.0-50.2 kg/da respectively. DİCE-6 ve 68 had higher 1000 seed weight, DİCE-6 had higher seed yield, DİCE-62 had higher oil content, DİCE-62 ve 65 had higher oil yield than standart cultivars and is statistically the same. DİCE-68 line had the highest linoleic acid content, although this line showed high oil content and 1000 grain weight, seed and oil yields showed low performance. As a result, according to 1000 seed weight, oil content, seed and oil yield characteristics, it was concluded that DİCE-6 and DİCE-62 genotypes could be promising as a candidate for variety.
