Abstract (EN)

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to determine the variations and distance measurements between the coeliac trunk, superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery which provide great deal of arterial vascularization for structures and organs in abdomen visceral and which are the most important single branches of aorta abdominals. Material and Method: In the study, the images of the 261 patients (115 female, 146 male), obtained by multidetector computed tomography technique in the Dicle University Medical Faculty, were retrospectively analysed between 2016 and 2017. The study included 16-83 age range. The data obtained from the study were statistically evaluated via SPSS program. The coeliac trunk, superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery were evaluated in three categories, such as variations at the origin, variations in the main branches, and branching variations of these arteries. Results: The coeliac trunk and its main branches were found to have quite different variation types. It was revealed that the most variant branch of coeliac trunk was left gastric artery, while the least was the splenic artery. It was determined that the superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery displayed lesser variation than coeliac trunk. Conclusion: It was concluded that the variations of the coeliac trunk, superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery will be more successful in abdominal diagnosis and treatment attempts carried out by knowing how to do.
