Wares in baths of Turkish culture and its adaptation to tileart

History of humanity is the history belonging to a social evolution and development. While people have been trying to meet their fundamental needs and deal with natural conditions for many centuries, they have been in tendency to bring their creative motions and to express their imaginations. The concept "art" has emerged in this regard. Life style, geographical conditions, belief rituals, wishes and desires have been determinative in art production of societies. In this sense, it is possible to evaluate the concept "art" in terms of aesthetic and characteristic projection of societies. Art pieces of a society reflect the sociological background and the soul of that society. Anatolian territories offer art pieces, which have survived until today, and fruits of an ever-present grace and wisdom. Having welcomed different cultures and peoples, these sacred territories have turned into an art fair with its all colors and diversities. It is possible to come across all prosperous images which haven't lost strength and power of culture and art across all over the country. Basis of our study is the "Tile" art which is one of the unique art images in the country and has been identified with us. These territories, which have been inherited to us, are full of magnificent examples of tile art. From this point of view, the old Turkish baths, one of the most significant cultural heritages in our history, have been discussed in terms of reflections of tile art. Tile art has been designed by practicing it to bath wares utilized in Turkish bath culture.
