Turkish-Russian relations and an applied case on the treatments of the visit of Vladimir Putin in the print-media and electronic versions'

Russian Federation and Turkey are the major countries of Eurasian region. Turkish-Russian relations in recent years have shown a great improvement. The bilateral relations of two countries based on the historical competitive relationship have been transforming to multi-dimensional cooperation. This thesis, aims to an investigation of Turkish-Russian relations from the beginning to nowadays and also focuses on describing its present conditions and obtaining the general information about how it has been presented in print-media and electronic versions?.In this study, we based on the news printed in Turkey and Russian press?s by following the visit of former president and actual prime minister of Russia Federation: Vladimir Putin, who is considered playing an outstanding role in the improvements of the Turkish-Russian relations. The content analysis of these news were done and we tried to study how the Turkish-Russian relations had been presented in print-media and electronic versions?.According to the research results on Turkey and Russia, the images are showing positively in print-media of two countries. These results are indicators that how the interaction between the international relations, particularly the public diplomacy and the media is important. The Turkish-Russian relations being rapidly developed to continue to have a positive diplomatic discourse, and on another side this positivism is maintained in the newspapers belonging to the different media groups of the both countries.
