Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan in the Turkish political history

Political structure is one of the factors shaping the governments of the countries. Individuals in this structure can perform different tasks with the choice of the society. One of these individuals in Turkey is Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan. After his academic achievements and academic duties, Erbakan was involved in the founding of various political parties in different periods and was in the administration of the country. In the second half of the century 19th, he has been mentioned many times both with the Leopard Tank project in his academic life and with the successful projects he has put forward in his political life. Erbakan implemented the structure known as "pool system" for the first time in the history of Turkey and again Turkish governments did not provide an economic deficit with the equivalent budget realized for the first time in their history during his tenure as prime minister, Erbakan was able to serve as prime minister for a very short time although he won the many elections. During his tenure, pressure from the military wing caused Erbakan to resign as prime minister. The fact that a person who is highly qualified and has a career has not been able to serve enough time in the positions he is worthy of has been seen as a subject that needs to be examined. In the first part of this study; Erbakan's life from his birth to his academic life (1926-1969), in the second part his political activities between 1969-1974, in the third part his political activities between 1974-1980 and in the fourth part his political activities between 1987-1997 are included. In the fifth part of this study, the political activities of Erbakan after his resignation from the Prime Ministry were mentioned.
