The significance of turkish social security in the world a comparative analysis

Social Security is the accumulation of economic and social security measures taken by the state against risks that could occur in everyday life. Considering this fact, social security system in Turkey is explained together with its functioning in this paper. The standing social security reached in our day has been put forward. Social Security System of European Union(EU) has been attached to certain norms via Regulations and Directives in terms of the influence social security system exerts on global scale. Hence it is purposed that social security rights of individuals are secured in free movement within the European Union Area. The paper has given space to social security practices implemented by the developed Western countries. Social security practices of few advanced countries have been briefly addressed. Comparisons have been made with our social security applications and those of abovementioned countries and varying features, if any, between the former and the latter were sought to be determined. It has been concluded that social security is following the course of ongoing development in the contemporary era.
