LOCAL APPROACHES IN TURKISH SOCIOLOGY-THE EXAMPLE OF BAYKAN SEZER-MEHMET CAS M CEYLANABSTRACTIn Turkısh sociology surroundings for a long time, one of the topics that isdiscussed forms localness effort and arguments tahat is around probblity of this.In 19, century sociology wanted to analyze social problems that is lived inWestern. So nearlyin the same time the sociology is followed at close range andpresented without being delayed in our country by our intellectual people. At the timethey met the sociology our sociaty met great disorders at the same time. To rescueOttoman Empire from those negative sitvations a lot of release recipes were presentedas the most suitable methods by differend surroundings.And in that time deepdifferences of opinon were living about which recipe is more effective in thosematters.From this point of view we can say that in our country the faith about sociologythat it will analyze the social problems resembles the Western?s sociogial expectations.The faith tahat sociology will analyze our social problems too caused that theWestern?s sociology opinion was imported to our country without a change where asour social dynamics don?t have same charaeterictics withWest?s even they are diffirentfrom each other in many ways.From the point of wiew of our social dynamics we need aTurkısh sociology that suits our historical and social realities.In this study it is wanted to take place of the opinions of Turkısh sociologyBaykan Sezer who give great effonts to foynt Turkısh sociology and give real aprovesand offers solytions to our social problems.II
