Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between Turkish teachers' lifelong learning tendencies and their self-efficacy perception levels. The relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The sample of the research consists of 200 Turkish teachers working under the Ministry of National Education in the 2021-2022 academic year. "Lifelong Learning Scale" and "General Self-Efficacy Scale" were used as data collection tools. All data obtained from the relevant study were analyzed with the SPSS 23.0 package program. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare two groups, the Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare more than two groups, and the Sperman test was used to measure the relationship between scales. There was no significant difference in the distribution of Turkish teachers' scores from the lifelong learning orientation and general self-efficacy scales according to gender. Turkish teachers' lifelong learning orientation scores and general self-efficacy scale scores did not show a significant difference according to age. A significant difference was detected only in lifelong learning motivation scores according to age, which is a sub-dimension of the lifelong learning tendency scale. When the distribution of the participants' scores from the general self-efficacy scales was examined according to their educational status, no significant difference was found. However, the sub-dimension of the participants' general self-efficacy scale; Maintenance effort-persistence scores showed a significant difference according to educational status. It was observed that as the total scores of Turkish teachers' lifelong learning tendency increased, their starting, perseverance, and maintenance effort-persistence scores also increased. It is thought that it would be effective if they address the relevant issue with different methods and develop a new index or scale in this direction.
