Abstract (EN)

In this study, the reason of choosing of this research was due to opinion that School of Physical Education and Sport Faculty members who served in Turkey were more self-conscious according to the different occupational groups about the importance of physical activity. It was targeted to determine how the quality of life affected by the level of physical activity as well as physcical activity. Population of the study was School of Physical Education of Sport faculty members who served at the level of higher education in Turkey. The sample of the study contains 94 men and 38 women were randomly selected from this population. Physical activity levels of the participants in the study were determined using International Physical Activity Questionnaire, IPAQ. The SF-36 scale was used to measure the quality of life of the participants. In order to evaluation of the data obtained from the study and create the tables, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 19 was used. Appropriateness of distributions and homogeneity of variances were tested, binary and multiple comparisons were made by means of parametric tests. Independent variable t-test for binary comparisons, One Way Anova for multiple comparisons, for intra-group comparisons (post-hoc) Tukey tests were used. Participants in the study an average value of MET is 2351.87 MET min / week. Accordingly, School of Physical Education and Sport in Turkey, 17.4% of faculty members is not active, 50% is low active, 32.6% were found to be active enough. Analysis of quality of life scores of the participants was found as "average physical function" 77.05, "physical role" 79.47, "pain" 80.91, "general health perception" 82.50, "vitality" 87.58, "social function" 81.33, "mental role" 76.18, "mental function" 85.64, "physical health score" 49.79, "mental health score" 55.44. As a result, it is understood that faculty members who are served for departments of physical education and sport has high quality of life and low physical activity level.
