This study aims to investigate of depression and burn out levels in actively working bureaucrats and politicians from the republic of Turkey. Data was collected from volunteers by convenience sampling method. The participants were Turkish bureaucrats and politicians from seven geographical regions. One city from each region was randomly selected and participation rate was determined with respect to regional population size. Socio-demographic questionnaire, Beck Depression Scale (BDS) and Maslach Burnout Scale (MBS) were applied to participants after gathering consent forms. A t-test and one way analyzes of variance were used for comparisons among groups. Results of this study showed that there was no statistically significant difference among gender, age, marital status, education and burnout level. There was no significant difference between depression and socio-demographic data. Participants' burnout and depression levels were moderate. Turkish bureaucrats and politicians administer their citizens in healthy way. The mental health of Turkish bureaucrats and politicians is enough to manage the country. Governmental organizations in the republic of Turkey were administered by mentally healthy bureaucrats and politicians.
