Abstract (EN)
Transportation is the operation of moving all kinds of living or lifeless assets from a desired point to another point. As the transportation activity gained worldwide speed, the borders have expanded and the distance between countries has been ignored. Considering these developments, businesses have directed their investments to this sector in order to guarantee their future. These developments in the transport sector have created a competitive environment among transport types such as road, air, sea and rail. Railway transport, which has an important share in the transportation sector, has to have the equipment that will make a difference in the name of competitive advantage. In particular, the quality and diversity of the services offered by railway passenger stations are among the important factors that can increase passenger potential. In this study, it is aimed to choose between railway stations serving passengers in Turkey. The AHS method which is the most appropriate way was used to make the selection of railway stations in Turkey. Since the selection of the railway station in Turkey is not an application that has been studied in Turkey, criteria have been established with the help of railway specialists. By evaluating the proposed 10 criteria and 5 alternatives, binary matrices were formed and a ranking was obtained by finding the weighted values. According to this ranking, the most appropriate railway station selection was made. Keywords: Transportation, Railway Transport, Multi-Criteria Decision Making, AHS
