Abstract (EN)

In this study, a literature survey was carried out in Turkey on the social status of men and women in terms of gender and the educational status in terms of employment and unemployment. In order to reveal the situation of male and female employment in our country, the situation of male and female employment in the labour market has been evaluated in many ways in light of the data obtained from TurkStat. In this context, statistical data were used to determine the relationship between education, employment and unemployment in Turkey, usually using post-2014 data. Based on these statistical data, the relationship between the education level and employment of men and women has been established and some results have been achieved. According to these results, it is understood that male children are more advantageous in terms of education and employment than female children and this is manifested in many areas. According to these data, female employment has increased in Turkey in terms of years. Considering the sector, it has been determined that despite the fact that women are employed in agriculture sector, this has declined in recent years and that there are significant increases in the services sector. In parallel with these developments, it is observed that the situation of women at work also changes. Women are separated from unpaid family workers and have started to work as wage-earners. When examined at regional level, it was determined that this situation varies according to the development levels of the regions in Turkey.
