Analysis of the attitudes towards violence against women in Turkey using econometric methods: A case of Akdeniz University students

This study examine the attitudes of Akdeniz University students about violence against women. Within the scope of this study, a questionaire has been prepared. In this questionaire there are 48 questions to be replied. The size of sample obtained is 400. This sample is consisted of 288 female and 112 male. Firstly, factor analysis has been applied to the data in order to measure the attitudes. The attitudes are represented by opinions, emotions, and behaviours. Secondly, regression analysis has been applied in order to determine the reasons of these attitudes. Keywords: Violence Against Women, Types of Violence, Factor Analysis, Regression Analysis
