Abstract (EN)
The thesis study titled "Examination of Airport Information Graphics Used in Turkey and Designing an Airport Information Graphic" includes the examination of information graphics used in the airports located on the international trade roads and the paths of our country significant in terms of tourism as well as the discussion on these graphics. Psychological effects, readability and harmony of letter fonts, and the compatibility of the prepared pictograms with one another in terms of their structure on the information graphics of İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Ankara Esenboğa Airport, İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, Antalya Airport, and İstanbul Atatürk Airport, where air traffic was stopped on 6th April, 2019 are included in this study. For the project stage of the thesis, sprite information graphic designs were prepared for Antalya Airport (AYT) administered by TAV Airport. In these designs, the pictogram method was used as it is an international language. A new information graphic suggestion was presented for the airport with pictograms and sprite graphics.
