Turkey's modernization movements of living room and furniture design on parallel in cinema over the period analysis

The modernization movements in Turkey have changed everyday life. Thus, daily space and daily items have also changed. These changes have created representations and symbols in the history of society. These symbols are interior space as a place of daily life and furniture as a daily item. Interior space and furniture provide data about society's experiences of modernity as a reflection of social change. In this study, living room and furniture as a witness of the modernization process, considered as the symbol of modernization represented. This case has been examined in terms of the modernization process and daily life dynamics. Turkish cinema is another witness that reflects this process and daily life. Turkish films presents data on the daily life in the relationship between interior space and furniture. For this reason, interior space and furniture, which reflect the change of daily life with modernization movements, have been analyzed comparatively / simultaneously with the disciplines of interior design and cinema. In this study, visual methodology/analysis was used depending on the qualitative research method.
