Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research, which will take the opinions and suggestions of the stakeholders in the field of sports related to the fight against doping in sports in Turkey, is to determine the current Anti-Doping situation of the country and to determine the suggestions that can be submitted to the Turkish Sports Management area regarding Anti-Doping in line with the findings to be obtained. This study was designed with the explanatory sequential design follow-up explanation model, participant selection model sub-pattern, which is one of the mixed research methods. The research methodologically; In the first stage, it was synthesized with a descriptive survey based on a quantitative questionnaire, and in the second stage with a qualitative multiple-case holistic study design. Because it was planned as a mixed design, it was based on the positivist paradigm in the quantitative dimension and the interpretive paradigm in the qualitative dimension. The participants of the research are Academicians, National Team Trainers, National Team Athletes, Physical Education and Sports Teachers and some Public Institution employees. The data were obtained by means of a questionnaire for the quantitative stage, and the interview technique and metaphors for the qualitative stage. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of the collected quantitative data. In the analysis of the data collected at the qualitative stage, theme analysis, descriptive analysis, content analysis, analytical generalization and discourse analysis were performed and the results were presented with a descriptive expression. The data set obtained as a result of both stages was synthesized by bringing together in the discussion and conclusion part of the research. Based on the findings obtained from the study, it can be said that doping-containing substances should be banned all over the world, as they are against ethical principles and adversely affect health. It is understood that punishment is a necessary method in the fight against doping, but there is a need for a revision in the penal regulation to strengthen sanctions, and that the punishment method alone is not sufficient, and training and guidance studies for prevention are more important. Although comprehensive activities are carried out in an institutional structure on the fight against doping in the world, some problems can be experienced due to the science and technology of powerful countries. In our country, it has been determined that anti-doping studies are partially more successful when compared to the world, but there are dimensions that need to be developed. In the light of this information, it is understood that there is a need for a multi-faceted, independent anti-doping organization in our country, in which all relevant stakeholders are involved, and a national action plan, in which more emphasis is placed on guidance and education activities.
