Secondary long vowels in Turkey Turkish dialects

Özet (EN)

One of the impotant features of Turkey Turkish dialects is that they preserve long vowels. Long vowels can be evaluated under two headings as primary / substantive long vowels and secondary / indirect long vowels. Primary long vowels; they are voels that has been long since the first known examples of the language and have not been formed as a result of any phonetic event that have semantic distinguishing features. Secondary long vowels; since the first known examples of the language, they are vowels that do not have a distinctive feature that are formed as a result of various phonetic events that are not long. Since dialects are not bound to a certain rule like written language, sound events are seen more. These sound events also caused the formation of secondary long vowels. Consonant dissolution / drop, syllable fusion, syllable drop, word mergers, voowel encounters, consonant twinning, vowel drop etc. in the formation of secondary long vowels sound events. The study started by giving detailed information about the vowels after the introduction. İn hte second party, primary lengths are evaluated and detailed information and sample words are given. These word; as a matter of fact, the longer ones from the main Turkish longuage were evaluated under the words of Turkish origin and the borrowed words were evaluated as two seperate headinds under the words of foreign origin. İn the third pary, after giving detailed information about the secondary long vowels, the samples obtained by scannig the texts are listed under the relevant headings. The words evaluated under the hesding of Word roots and bases and suffixes are shown by classifying them as Turkish orgin words and foreign words. In the study, numerical data were also obtained by creating tables for same headings with spps program. Wiht rhe maps at the end of the study, the usage areas of some consonant dissolution / drop and syllable conjugations were determined.
