Expressi̇on forms in Turkish of Turkey

This study has been made for the purpose of determining the expression forms that come forward by their own properties, in Turkish of Turkey, and examining them in terms of their structures, syntactic features and meanings they provide. This study is limited to the texts scanned. In the study, one work of 50 different literary figures, of poems, stories, novels, tales, essays, interviews, travel books, memories and dramas written in the period of Turkish of Turkey , has been read line by line and scanned to determine the expression forms in Turkish of Turkey. Furthermore, in the case of not having enough examples in the scanned texts for examining the determined form, examples of expression forms determined on the other works that belong to the same age and on the İnternet, have also been used via free scanning method. In the introduction part of the study, information about the subject, purpose and methods of the study has been given; the meanings and scope of the terms ?Fixedness, expression form, semantic function? have been emphasized; the general features of ?expression form? have been identified and it has been defined, by examining the relations between expression form and proverb, idiom, formulaic expression and reduplication. In the review part of the study titled as ?Expression Forms in terms of their Structures, Syntactic Features, Semantic Functions They Provide?, 40 expression forms determined in the scanned texts have been classified firstly according to the unchanging component included; then to whether they include word repetition or not, as many of them have it in common; afterwards, according to the feature of the forms form models and formulas has been created for each form. After that each form has been reviewed in the subtitles; ?Determination Related to Formation and Components?, ?Whether the Form is a Wordgroup and Syntactic Features?, ?Semantic Function or Functions?, ?Some Speeches Having the Same Arrangement as or a Similar one to the Form but not Examples of the Expression Form?. In the conclusion part of the study, a general assessment has been made about the expression forms studied and general and distinctive properties, semantic function diversity and the usage frequency of these forms in the scanned texts has been emphasized.
