Özet (EN)

Basically due to the rising demand for energy in all the world, especially Turkey, wind, solar, with the building blocks of nature in forms such as hydrogen and water obtained from the conversion of kinetic energy has increased the emphasis on renewable energy sources. This orientation has led to an increase in the applicability of technology, creativity, research and development. This innovative approach has also led to increased awareness of such issues as global warming and environmental pollution, which are the result of humanity's brutal attitude towards nature. The methods of renewable energy generation, which are increasing day by day, together with the minimization of harmful effects against the nature, continue to be developed. Within the scope of this thesis, the possible installation sites of a facility which can obtain energy from the underwater stream, which is one of the renewable energy sources which is frequently mentioned in the recent years, has been examined and a multi-criteria model has been proposed. The criteria in this model are weighted by the SWARA method and the alternatives determined in the model according to the criteria with weights are listed by WASPAS method. Working in research to obtain renewable energy from underwater currents made subject applicability in Turkey have expressed many times, but an actual developments on the issue until today has not been shown. For this reason, at Site Selection for Underwater Current Energy Facility is the first study to be introduced to the literature along with the application method. Previous studies on the subject are generally related to the technical analysis of the equipment that can be used or the literature and analysis of the energy sector. The aim of this research model is to shed light on the other studies and to implement the model.
