Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Restoration of the missing dental tissue and enabling the aesthetical, functional, and biological compatibility are among the greatest goals of dentists and prosthetic dentistry. The urge of patients to use the fixed partial dentures for a longer period of time in recent years has directed dentists to search for a clinically successful material and cement. It has been understood that for a clinical success in restorations, a strong connection between restoration and dentition as well as the successful connection between cement and substructure material could help the restoration to be long-lasting by preventing the microleakage and decementation. In our study, we statistically examined the connection resistances of three different substructure materials and two different resin cements. 78 maxilla central incisor teeth which were extracted for various reasons were used as invitro . 1.5mm from the labial surface and 2mm from incisal surface of the extracted 78 central incisor teeth were cut under irrigation by the use of diamond drill. Metal, zirconium and ceramic blocks that are appropriate for the prepared surfaces were produced. The teeth were categorized into two groups based on the cements that will be used and surface chiseling of the teeth in the first group were made (40% phosphoric acid). Then, primer (ED Prime II Liquid A and Liquid B) with MDP content were applied on the surface of the teeth. Following the application, primers of zirconium, ceramic, and metal blocks were applied and attached by means of resin cement (resin cement with MDP content). The second group of the teeth was attached to zirconium, ceramic, and metal blocks to which primer was applied by means of resin composite cement which was adhesive without any surface operations. Prepared samples were fixed by being placed into ready-made molds. The models were exposed to 2.000 cycles in the thermal cycle device. By instron device, we measured the retention and resistance values by applying tensile testing apparatus with the help of models By the end of the study, it was observed that dual-cure resin cement (cement with MDP content) showed higher resistance than self-adhesive resin cement (self-adhesive resin composite cement) and panavia-ceramic and panavia-metal groups had the highest resistance. The lowest value was found to belong to the self-metal.
